Pakistan Association of the Blind District branch Bahawalnagar is a renowned , well thought-out and registered body by the blinds them selves working for the education , Training and rehabilitation of the visually impaired persons in district of Bahawalnagar . It is registered from Social Welfare Department Registration No : DD.SW.(B.D)96/337. Its head office is situated at Gulshan – e – Ismaiel near Jinnah Town Hasilpur Road Chishtian .
History
Pakistan Association of the Blind District branch Bahawalnagar was established on 26th of May , 1996 , 8th Muharram 1417 A.H. , Sunday . The District Bahawalnagar which is consisted of five Tehsils Bahawalnagar , Chishtian , Haroonabad , Minchanabad and Fortabbas is the 5th largest District of Punjab province by land area . Like other areas of Pakistan , it has also a large number of visually impaired persons . So it was required that their should be an Association to educate and rehabilitate the blind persons . For this purpose , Mr. Ghulam Murtaza and some of his friends founded this Association with a limited sources in the name of AL_ Mehfooz Markiz baray Nabeena situated at 63 – Fatima Plaza Qaziwala Road Chishtian .
Now Pakistan Association of the Blind District branch Bahawalnagar has constructed its new building on 15 Marlas plaat at Gulshan – e – Ismaiel near Jinnah Town Hasilpur road Chishtian . By the grace of Allah Almighty , the curriculum and Co – curriculum activities have been commenced since February 2020 in this new building .
